Pretty Turtle - 12cm

Charming, compact, and endlessly rewarding, Streptocarpus 'Pretty Turtle' is a real gem for windowsills and shelves. Its velvety, textured leaves have unique patterns—like a little turtle shell—while its delicate purple blooms rise above the foliage on slender stems, often flowering for months at a time. A brilliant option for adding soft colour and interest indoors without much fuss.

Light:
Loves bright, indirect light. Place within 1 metre of an East- or North-facing window, or further from a South-facing one. Avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Keep the soil just lightly moist—water when the top inch feels dry or the pot feels lighter. Avoid getting water on the leaves, and allow any excess to drain away fully.

Soil:
Prefers a light, free-draining mix. Our chunky houseplant soil works well when the plant needs potting on.

Temperature:
Comfortable in general household temperatures between 16–24°C. Avoid cold draughts and overly hot, dry spots.

Feeding:
Feed every 2–3 weeks during spring and summer with a high-potassium fertiliser (like tomato feed) to encourage blooming.
